For over 20 years, this old post-war house , once used for sericulture, was left untouched, never even aired out. Weeds taller than a person grew thick around it, the floorboards rotted and fell through, and rain leaked in—it was truly a ruin.
It’s such a shame we have no photos from that time. Back then, we were so absorbed in reviving KUBOSHUKU that we didn’t even think to take pictures. Looking back now, I sometimes think, “I wish I had taken pictures…”
It’s still under renovation! We hope you’ll enjoy watching KUBOSHUKU gradually transform.
